Writer's Revenge

Lulu has the perfect item for any writer who has wanted to tell an agent or editor to put their rejection letter where the sun don't shine -- rejection letter toilet paper.  For the rather astounding price of $90 for 4 rolls any writer can have a rejection letter printed on 4 rolls of TP.  The only problem is that at that price most writers will find it cheaper to use the real thing.

Standing in the yard and facing east

I was working on the front garden this afternoon and suddenly various neighbors came out of their houses, faced east and stared into the sky.  The mysterious action is a sign those of us in Central Florida recognize.  People pouring out of office buildings to face the sky in the east.  Cars pulling over on the highway and people facing the sky in the east.  It means one thing--Shuttle Launch!  So I stopped gardening and faced east.  A beautiful launch.  The best Fourth of July rocket I've ever seen.

I'm doing what?

So the latest email advertising the FWA conference drops o my mailbox and I discover I'm presenting a NEW way to look at the basics of fiction writing.  Now I knew I was doing a seminar on the beginning fiction writing, but I didn't know I had to come up with an entirely new way of looking at it.  It's amazing what a little pressure can do.  i've come up with my approach and even started on a powerpoint presentation.  More work to go but hey, the conference isn't until November.
